RPWL - Crazy Lane

RPWL (Risettion-Postl-Wallner-Lang, los apellidos de los miembros originales) es un grupo alemán de rock neo-progresivo, que comenzó en 1997 como banda tributo a Pink Floyd y se quedó enganchado con el sonido de éstos, a tal punto que algunas de sus composiciones bien podrían pasar por obras de aquéllos maestros. La música de RPWL es, sin embargo, más melódica, con formatos convencionales de canción pop, y arreglos efectivos y sobrios. En este aspecto también me parece escuchar influencia BEATLE. RPWL se estrenó con dos álbumes que recibieron excelentes comentarios, "God has Failed" y "Trying to Kiss the Sun", de 2000 y 2002, respectivamente. Luego de "Trying to Kiss the Sun" la banda sufre la deserción de dos de sus miembros (la R y la P) y abren un paréntesis en su carrera. En 2003 sacan "Stock", una recopilación de material previo al 2000, y en 2005 finalmente cierran el paréntesis y retoman su actividad con "World Through my Eyes". Actualmente la banda está formada por Yogi LANG (voz, teclados), Karlheinz WALLNER (guitarras), Stephan EBNER (bajo) y Manfred MÜLLER (batería).
